Language is a living interaction, a connection, a bridge between people, cultures, and knowledge. This is why full immersion is essential to language learning. Task-based Spanish learning and pragmatic learning will place students in real life scenarios that will accelerate the learning process. Research has shown that we make stronger neural connections, learn more effectively, when we have an experience tied to learning.
The intensive Spanish language packages will include 10 hours of classroom time per week as well as 10 hours of full Spanish immersion(experiences). Assessments will be given to determine appropriate material that will challenge and expand the students’ linguistic competency in: communication, grammar, writing, reading, and pronunciation.
Private lessons are also available for face-to-face instruction as well as via Zoom. Contact us for our hourly rate.

When we learn Spanish, we learn another way of perceiving the world, a new world lens. Cultures and languages are dying out, one every two weeks. It is imperative that we honor the ancient ways and build our cross-cultural competence to help these customs survive. Here we will engage in activities(10+ hours per week) that will give students exposure to the rich Panamanian culture including La Kuna tribe. Some Kunas have migrated to the wild coast of Panama from the Caribbean Islands of San Blas. Their impacts can be seen with their colorful art at locals restaurants, where they also tap into their waterman lineage, as exceptional free divers, to provide fresh pulpo(octopus) and conch to the table. We also have contributions from other vibrant Latino cultures like Peru, Chile, and Mexico that will educate us on their customs and unique, colloquial language.

Spanish Immersion
The best way to learn Spanish is to be fully immersed. Intensive Spanish classes include 10 hours of explicit grammar teaching, focus on the form of the language, and then we practice fluency with the locals(language immersion).
Fluency practice will be reinforced while: dining in cantinas, buying supplies, and engaging locals to learn about community projects. After each immersive activity, students will have to keep a Spanish journal to reflect as well as record new vocabulary.
Intensive English Program
Nuestro programa intensivo ofrece 5 niveles de Inglés y en cada cual aprendemos gramática, escritura, pronunciación, vocabulario y tendremos muchas oportunidades para practicar nuestro inglés con extranjeros. Los programas estudian 6 horas a la semana y dura un mes cada uno.
Cada semana ofrecemos clases de Ingles personalmente y por Zoom.
Activities
Volunteer- The more you give, the more you receive. The more you are of service to our world, the higher level of happiness and fulfillment you will experience. We will work with the local school teaching English and get involved in community projects.
Horseback Riding-Learn how to take care of horses, ride along pristine beaches, and enjoy a local barbeque (parillada) on la finca(farm).
Activities
Fishing- is so much more than killing. It’s harvesting, patience, learning about our food, as well as ways to protect their habitat.
Diving- through skin diving, free diving, we learn how to calm our mind, interact with the sea, and explore our capabilities.
Meditation and Yoga- "There is a voice that doesn't use words. Listen."
Surfing
Surfing teaches us what it is to be free and tap into our greatest potential. It is a pursuit that is very demanding, but with demand and risk, comes an even greater reward.
Wildlife
The Azuero Pennisula and the Cerro Hoya National Park boast one of the largest forests on the Pacific. We will learn about the local flora and fauna as well as the animals and ways to protect them for future generations.

The integration of the lessons learned in Panama to everyday life is as important as the experiences themselves. Students will keep a journal to reflect and share with the group on some life-changing experiences.
